568-349 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-349 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 4.475 in (113.67 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.895 in (124.33 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80349. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® offers a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core and long service life in aggressive chemical duty. This material stands up to strong acids and solvents, nearly all process chemicals, and aggressive oxidizers. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care will shorten service life.
