AS568-368 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 7.725 in (196.22 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.145 in (206.88 mm). This o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Part number TEV80368 is an AS568-368 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 7.725 in (196.22 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.145 in (206.88 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. This material stands up to steam, nearly all process chemicals, and aggressive oxidizers. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care.

Typical settings include aggressive-media valves and pumps, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and semiconductor equipment.
