568-372 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-372 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 8.725 in (221.62 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.145 in (232.28 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80372. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The compound resists steam, aggressive oxidizers, and strong acids and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified for long service life in aggressive chemical duty, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care.

Typical settings include chemical processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and semiconductor equipment.
