*568-385 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80385 is an AS568-385 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 15.955 in (405.26 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 16.375 in (415.93 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The compound resists steam, aggressive oxidizers, and strong acids and solvents. PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® offers a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling and long service life in aggressive chemical duty. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing are present.

Common environments for this compound include aggressive-media valves and pumps, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and semiconductor equipment.
