Ordered as TEV80389, this is an AS568-389 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 19.953 in (506.81 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 20.373 in (517.47 mm). The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

The compound resists strong acids and solvents, aggressive oxidizers, and steam. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® offers long service life in aggressive chemical duty and chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.
