568-393 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80393 is an AS568-393 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 23.94 in (608.08 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 24.36 in (618.74 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is known for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. It resists aggressive oxidizers, strong acids and solvents, and nearly all process chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing will shorten service life.

Typical settings include pharmaceutical manufacturing, semiconductor equipment, and aggressive-media valves and pumps.
