568-418 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Ordered as TEV80418, this is an AS568-418 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 3.6 in (91.44 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.15 in (105.41 mm). The o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. The material holds up against strong acids and solvents, steam, and aggressive oxidizers. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care call for a different compound.
