568-424 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

The TEV80424 is an AS568-424 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.35 in (110.49 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.9 in (124.46 mm). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. It resists strong acids and solvents, aggressive oxidizers, and nearly all process chemicals. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.
