568-427 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Ordered as TEV80427, this is an AS568-427 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.725 in (120.02 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.275 in (133.99 mm). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® delivers chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. The compound resists steam, strong acids and solvents, and nearly all process chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care are present.
