*568-428 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

APG stocks the TEV80428, an AS568-428 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.85 in (123.19 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.4 in (137.16 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is widely chosen for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. This material stands up to steam, aggressive oxidizers, and strong acids and solvents. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverage, and aggressive-media valves and pumps.

TEV80428 ships individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 4 7/8 inch. Review your operating media and conditions against this specification before installation.
