TEV80435 is an AS568-435 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.725 in (145.42 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.275 in (159.39 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.
As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified for a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling and long service life in aggressive chemical duty. Expect good resistance to aggressive oxidizers, strong acids and solvents, and nearly all process chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing.
Typical settings include pharmaceutical manufacturing, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and semiconductor equipment.
