568-440 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80440 is an AS568-440 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 6.725 in (170.82 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.275 in (184.79 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

This material stands up to aggressive oxidizers, steam, and strong acids and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® offers chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and long service life in aggressive chemical duty. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care.
