568-443 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-443 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A with an inside diameter of 7.475 in (189.87 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.025 in (203.84 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80443. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core and chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring. Expect good resistance to steam, aggressive oxidizers, and strong acids and solvents. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing will shorten service life.

Typical settings include food and beverage, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and aggressive-media valves and pumps.
