568-447 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

TEV80447 is an AS568-447 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 8.975 in (227.97 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.525 in (241.94 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. The compound resists strong acids and solvents, nearly all process chemicals, and aggressive oxidizers. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Verify compatibility before use with service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care.

Common environments for this compound include pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverage, and aggressive-media valves and pumps.
