568-453 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-453 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 11.975 in (304.17 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 12.525 in (318.14 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80453. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. The compound resists aggressive oxidizers, strong acids and solvents, and nearly all process chemicals. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing will shorten service life.
