568-454 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Ordered as TEV80454, this is an AS568-454 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 12.475 in (316.87 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 13.025 in (330.84 mm). The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. The material holds up against aggressive oxidizers, strong acids and solvents, and steam. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care call for a different compound.
