*568-457 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

APG stocks the TEV80457, an AS568-457 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 13.975 in (354.97 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 14.525 in (368.94 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Expect good resistance to nearly all process chemicals, aggressive oxidizers, and strong acids and solvents. PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is valued for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care are present.

Common environments for this compound include semiconductor equipment, chemical processing, and aggressive-media valves and pumps.
