568-460 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

APG stocks the TEV80460, an AS568-460 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 15.475 in (393.07 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 16.025 in (407.04 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® offers chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and long service life in aggressive chemical duty. This material stands up to strong acids and solvents, steam, and aggressive oxidizers. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.
