568-461 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80461 is an AS568-461 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 15.955 in (405.26 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 16.505 in (419.23 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is widely chosen for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core and a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. The compound resists strong acids and solvents, nearly all process chemicals, and aggressive oxidizers. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care will shorten service life.
