568-462 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Ordered as TEV80462, this is an AS568-462 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 16.455 in (417.96 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 17.005 in (431.93 mm). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

It resists aggressive oxidizers, steam, and strong acids and solvents. PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® delivers chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing are present.

It sees regular use in aggressive-media valves and pumps, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and semiconductor equipment.
