An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Expect good resistance to steam, strong acids and solvents, and aggressive oxidizers. PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is known for long service life in aggressive chemical duty and a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical processing, and food and beverage.
