568-470 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-470 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 20.955 in (532.26 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 21.505 in (546.23 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80470. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. The compound resists nearly all process chemicals, steam, and aggressive oxidizers. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care are present.

Typical settings include aggressive-media valves and pumps, chemical processing, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
