568-472 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Ordered as TEV80472, this is an AS568-472 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 22.94 in (582.68 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 23.49 in (596.65 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is known for long service life in aggressive chemical duty and a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. Expect good resistance to steam, nearly all process chemicals, and strong acids and solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care are present.

Typical settings include aggressive-media valves and pumps, semiconductor equipment, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
