Part number TSP029 is an AS568-029 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.489 in (37.82 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.629 in (41.38 mm). A back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

Expect good resistance to nearly all industrial chemicals, solvents, and steam. PTFE (Teflon) delivers near-universal chemical inertness and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in elemental fluorine at temperature or service requiring elastic recovery.
