**2107-045 PTFE SPIRAL B/U FDA

Ordered as TSP045, this is an AS568-045 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.989 in (101.32 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.129 in (104.88 mm). The back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) delivers excellent dielectric properties and near-universal chemical inertness. It resists strong acids and bases, nearly all industrial chemicals, and solvents. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. Exposure to service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals will shorten service life.
