TSP132 is an AS568-132 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.737 in (44.12 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.943 in (49.35 mm). In service, this back-up ring installs on the low-pressure side of an o-ring to prevent extrusion into the clearance gap at elevated pressure.

The material holds up against steam, nearly all industrial chemicals, and strong acids and bases. PTFE (Teflon) offers one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Verify compatibility before use with elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals.

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical and biotech, semiconductor fabrication, and aggressive-media pipelines.
