TSP263 is an AS568-263 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 7.234 in (183.74 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.512 in (190.8 mm). In service, this back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

This material stands up to steam, nearly all industrial chemicals, and oxidizing media. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is valued for near-universal chemical inertness and excellent dielectric properties. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in service requiring elastic recovery or elemental fluorine at temperature.

Common environments for this compound include semiconductor fabrication, chemical processing, and food and beverage.
