Ordered as TSP265, this is an AS568-265 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 7.734 in (196.44 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.012 in (203.5 mm). The back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) is known for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. The material holds up against oxidizing media, steam, and strong acids and bases. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).
