TSP273 is an AS568-273 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 9.734 in (247.24 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 10.012 in (254.3 mm). In service, this back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

PTFE (Teflon) delivers near-universal chemical inertness and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. This material stands up to oxidizing media, nearly all industrial chemicals, and solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).

Typical settings include aggressive-media pipelines, laboratory equipment, and pharmaceutical and biotech.
