The TSP322 is an AS568-322 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.225 in (31.12 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.645 in (41.78 mm). This back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

The compound resists steam, strong acids and bases, and nearly all industrial chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is valued for excellent dielectric properties and near-universal chemical inertness. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. Exposure to elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals will shorten service life.

Common environments for this compound include chemical processing, food and beverage, and semiconductor fabrication.
