The TSP334 is an AS568-334 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.6 in (66.04 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.02 in (76.71 mm). This back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

This material stands up to steam, nearly all industrial chemicals, and oxidizing media. PTFE (Teflon) offers near-universal chemical inertness and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Applications involving molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery call for a different compound.
