APG stocks the TSP345, an AS568-345 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.975 in (100.97 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.395 in (111.63 mm). A back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

PTFE (Teflon) is valued for near-universal chemical inertness and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Expect good resistance to strong acids and bases, nearly all industrial chemicals, and oxidizing media. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C).
