012 PTFE SOLID BACKUP RING FDA

The TST012SO is an AS568-012 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 0.364 in (9.25 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.504 in (12.8 mm). This back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

This material stands up to solvents, nearly all industrial chemicals, and steam. PTFE (Teflon) offers excellent dielectric properties and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).

It sees regular use in laboratory equipment, aggressive-media pipelines, and semiconductor fabrication.
