TST034SO is an AS568-034 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.114 in (53.7 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.254 in (57.25 mm). In service, this back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for near-universal chemical inertness and excellent dielectric properties. It resists solvents, strong acids and bases, and nearly all industrial chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery are present.

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical and biotech, laboratory equipment, and food and beverage.
