The TST120 is an AS568-120 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.987 in (25.07 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.193 in (30.3 mm). This back-up ring installs on the low-pressure side of an o-ring to prevent extrusion into the clearance gap at elevated pressure.

The material holds up against strong acids and bases, oxidizing media, and steam. PTFE (Teflon) offers non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).

Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across semiconductor fabrication, chemical processing, and aggressive-media pipelines.
