152 PTFE SOLID BACKUP RING FDA

The TST152SO is an AS568-152 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 3.237 in (82.22 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.443 in (87.45 mm). This back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

This material stands up to strong acids and bases, solvents, and steam. PTFE (Teflon) delivers non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics and near-universal chemical inertness. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). Verify compatibility before use with molten alkali metals or elemental fluorine at temperature.
