The TST211 is an AS568-211 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 0.796 in (20.22 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.074 in (27.28 mm). This back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

The material holds up against solvents, oxidizing media, and strong acids and bases. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) delivers one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and near-universal chemical inertness. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service.
