Ordered as TST332, this is an AS568-332 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 2.35 in (59.69 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.77 in (70.36 mm). The back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

The compound resists strong acids and bases, oxidizing media, and solvents. PTFE (Teflon) is specified for non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics and near-universal chemical inertness. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Exposure to molten alkali metals or elemental fluorine at temperature will shorten service life.
