360 PTFE SOLID BACKUP RING FDA

Part number TST360SO is an AS568-360 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.85 in (148.59 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.27 in (159.26 mm). A back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

It resists steam, strong acids and bases, and oxidizing media. PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for near-universal chemical inertness and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. Exposure to molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery will shorten service life.
