APG stocks the TST366SO, an AS568-366 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 7.225 in (183.52 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.645 in (194.18 mm). A back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

The material holds up against oxidizing media, nearly all industrial chemicals, and steam. PTFE (Teflon) is specified for non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C).

Typical settings include laboratory equipment, semiconductor fabrication, and aggressive-media pipelines.
