The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The material holds up against petroleum oils, extrusion under high pressure, and impact and shock loading. Polyurethane (AU/EU) is known for long wear life in dynamic reciprocating service, very high tensile strength and load capacity.
