568-225 URETHANE 70 DURO ORINGS

APG stocks the U70225, an AS568-225 clear Polyurethane (AU/EU) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.859 in (47.22 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.137 in (54.28 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Polyurethane (AU/EU) is specified here for toughness that outperforms conventional rubber compounds and exceptional abrasion resistance. The compound resists extrusion under high pressure, abrasion and wear, and petroleum oils. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 200°F (93.3°C). Applications involving ketones or hot water and steam call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in off-highway equipment, mining and heavy equipment, and construction machinery.
