8-012 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

This back-up ring is supplied in AS568-012 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 0.364 in (9.25 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.504 in (12.8 mm), catalogued under part number VBU90012. It allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) offers outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Expect good resistance to chlorinated solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, and engine and transmission fluids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).

Typical settings include aerospace, oil and gas, and chemical processing.
