8-114 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

VBU90114 is an AS568-114 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 0.612 in (15.54 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.818 in (20.78 mm). In service, this back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. Expect good resistance to engine and transmission fluids, chlorinated solvents, and many acids. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters are present.

Typical settings include chemical processing, semiconductor equipment, and aerospace.
