8-117 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

The VBU90117 is an AS568-117 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.799 in (20.29 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.005 in (25.53 mm). This back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for very low compression set at elevated temperature and industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. It resists engine and transmission fluids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and many acids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).

Typical settings include high-temperature process equipment, chemical processing, and oil and gas.
