8-120 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

APG stocks the VBU90120, an AS568-120 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.987 in (25.07 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.193 in (30.3 mm). A back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

This material stands up to engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and chlorinated solvents. Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for outstanding high-temperature capability and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines.

It sees regular use in high-temperature process equipment, oil and gas, and automotive fuel systems.
