8-124 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

VBU90124 is an AS568-124 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 1.237 in (31.42 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.443 in (36.65 mm). In service, this back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. This material stands up to engine and transmission fluids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and petroleum oils and fuels. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters are present.

Typical settings include oil and gas, aerospace, and high-temperature process equipment.
