8-144 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

VBU90144 is an AS568-144 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.487 in (63.17 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.693 in (68.4 mm). In service, this back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

It resists engine and transmission fluids, chlorinated solvents, and aggressive chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is specified for outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters will shorten service life.

Typical settings include high-temperature process equipment, aerospace, and semiconductor equipment.
