8-211 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

VBU90211 is an AS568-211 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.796 in (20.22 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.074 in (27.28 mm). In service, this back-up ring installs on the low-pressure side of an o-ring to prevent extrusion into the clearance gap at elevated pressure.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is valued for outstanding high-temperature capability and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Expect good resistance to petroleum oils and fuels, aggressive chemicals, and engine and transmission fluids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in ketones and esters or amines.

Typical settings include chemical processing, semiconductor equipment, and oil and gas.
