8-220 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

This back-up ring is supplied in AS568-220 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 1.359 in (34.52 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.637 in (41.58 mm), catalogued under part number VBU90220. It bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The material holds up against engine and transmission fluids, many acids, and chlorinated solvents. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C).
